Practical paths provide a direct, comfortable route from A to B and require solid foundations and suitable width. More informal paths can be narrower, curved and decorative, encouraging you to slow down and enjoy the garden.
We design and construct paths using natural stone, paving, gravel, stepping stones, timber and decking boards. Timber is especially effective for raised walkways, boardwalk-style paths and routes through planted areas.
Materials, foundations, edging, widths, curves and levels are selected around how the path will actually be used. The result should feel natural to walk and complement the character of the garden.
